Jonathan David Joins Juventus On Five-Year Deal

Canadian international, Jonathan David, has completed his move to Juventus Football Club.
Jonathan David, 24, who arrives from French club Lille, has signed a five-year deal that will keep him in Turin until June 30, 2030.
Juventus announced the signing of the Canadian forward on Friday via their official website.
The Italian giants said, “Jonathan David is a talented striker who adds quality to our squad. We warmly welcome him and wish him all the best. See you on the pitch, Jonathan.”
Note that Jonathan David was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Haitian parents, and raised in Ottawa, Canada.
David began his football career with local clubs Ottawa Gloucester and Ottawa Internationals before making the bold leap to Europe at just 17. His first European club was Belgian side, KAA Gent.
It was at Gent that David gave Europe a glimpse of his promise, scoring on his debut in August 2018. In two seasons, he netted 37 goals and added 15 assists in just 83 appearances, finishing as the Belgian league’s top scorer in the 2019-2020 season.
Lille signed him in the summer of 2020. Over the next five years, David became a talisman for the French side, scoring 109 goals and providing 30 assists in 232 matches across all competitions.
He helped guide Lille to a famous Ligue 1 title in the 2020-2021 season, followed by a French Super Cup win the year after.
Last season, David shone on the European stage with memorable performances, including the only goal in a 1-0 win over Real Madrid and a brace against Atletico Madrid.
He ended the campaign as the fourth-highest scorer in Ligue 1, having finished second and third in the two previous seasons.
Since scoring twice on his senior debut for Canada in September 2018, he has earned 66 caps and scored 35 goals.
