NPFL: Ladan Bosso To Join Barau FC, Shooting Stars Eye Coach Aweroro, Sanni Hails Kwara United’s Players

Barau FC of Kano are on the verge of appointing coach Ladan Bosso as their new technical adviser, ahead of the club’s historic first campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ladan Bosso, who recently ended two years at Bayelsa United, brings with him decades of top-flight experience.

The former Flying Eagles gaffer has previously held managerial positions at some of Nigeria’s most historic clubs including Kano Pillars, Wikki Tourists, Abia Warriors, and El-Kanemi Warriors.

Barau FC sealed promotion to the NPFL last season and will now rely on Bosso’s tactical experience to navigate the challenging waters of elite Nigerian football.

Aweroro Set To Be Named New Shooting Stars Coach Following Ogunbote’s Exit

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars SC are making efforts to appoint Nurudeen Aweroro as their new head coach, following the exit of Gbenga Ogunbote, who was sacked earlier this week.

Aweroro’s stock has risen sharply after he led Ikorodu City to a fourth-place finish in their first-ever NPFL campaign. His ability to steady the ship after replacing Bright Ozebagbe midway through the season earned him a name in the league.

According to Daily Post, Aweroro’s backroom staff have already resumed duties at Shooting Stars, and the Oluyole Warriors are set to unveil the 35-year-old tactician on Friday at their Jericho secretariat.

Kwara United’s Sanni Encouraged by Pre-Season Performance

Kwara United head coach Tunde Sanni has lauded his team’s showing in a 3-2 pre-season friendly win over Nigeria National League side House of Prayers on Wednesday in Ilorin.

“It was a good test for us. The boys are showing signs of readiness,” Sanni told the club’s official media. “We must stay focused and committed to the pre-season programme to achieve our objectives this season.”
