Ikorodu City Bids Farewell To Coach Nurudeen Aweroro After Shooting Stars Appointment

Ikorodu City have officially confirmed the departure of head coach, Nurudeen Aweroro, expressing gratitude for his contributions following his appointment as the new manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club.
In a statement released on Friday via the club’s official 𝕏 account, Ikorodu City acknowledged Nurudeen Aweroro’s efforts and extended best wishes for his future endeavours.
“Ikorodu City thank Aweroro for his services thus far and wishes him well in the future,” the club stated.
Aweroro, who joined the club midway through last season after the dismissal of Bright Ozegbage, led Ikorodu City to a fourth-place finish in their debut campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
His exit from Ikorodu City comes as he takes up a new challenge with NPFL side, Shooting Stars, who confirmed his appointment following the sacking of Gbenga Ogunbote.
“Nurudeen Aweroro has signed as the new Head Coach of Shooting Stars SC. A fresh chapter begins in the Oluyole Warriors’ journey,” Shooting Stars announced via their official 𝕏 account.
The unveiling ceremony took place in Ibadan on Friday, July 25, with the presence of key club officials including Chairman Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Bunmi Fadayomi.

At the time of writing this report, Ikorodu City had not announced a replacement for coach Aweroro.
