Transfer Updates: Jackson, Simons, Eze, Luiz, Casado, Okafor, Garnacho, Others

Aston Villa are exploring the possibility of signing Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, but the club are only prepared to make a transfer offer if the striker’s asking price drops below £60 million due to financial restrictions (Telegraph).

Unai Emery is keen to add firepower to Villa’s frontline in this summer transfer window and the 24-year-old Senegalese forward is seen as the club’s major target for the role.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are intensifying their push for RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons. The 22-year-old Dutchman is one of the brightest young talents in Europe, but Chelsea’s pursuit has been delayed as Bayern Munich’s move for Christopher Nkunku has stalled (Guardian).

Chelsea is also said to be weighing up a shock transfer bid for Alejandro Garnacho. The 21-year-old Argentina forward remains a crucial part of Manchester United’s rebuild, and the club will not allow him to leave cheaply (Evening Standard).
