Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is pushing for a move back to the Premier League after his much-anticipated transfer to Inter Milan collapsed at the final stages.

According to reports from TBR Football, representatives of Ademola Lookman have opened talks with Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Tottenham in recent days.

The 27-year-old Nigerian international is said to be desperate for a fresh start away from Atalanta after Inter pulled the plug on their interest following weeks of tense negotiations.

Lookman, who had even submitted a transfer request to force the deal through, reportedly staged a two-week training strike in protest of Atalanta’s refusal to sanction his move to their Serie A rivals.

He has since returned to training at the club’s Zingonia base but remains unsettled as the summer transfer window edges closer to its final stretch.

Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, who joined the Red Devils from Leicester City in 2019 for £80 million, revealed that the club made it clear he was not allowed to leave this summer despite concrete interest from other sides.

Maguire, once stripped of the captain’s armband after a difficult spell at Old Trafford, appears to have regained his form under new manager Ruben Amorim and the Premier League giants are not thinking of losing him.

“I am almost certain that Man United made it clear this summer that I could not leave under any circumstances,” Maguire said. “Several clubs inquired, and I think they were quickly told.”
