Liverpool are preparing a blockbuster move to break the British transfer record, with reports suggesting the Reds will table a £130m offer for Newcastle United striker, Alexander Isak.

According to The Telegraph, the improved transfer bid, which includes performance-related add-ons and bonuses, could see the 25-year-old Sweden international become the most expensive signing in Premier League history.

Jürgen Klopp has made Isak his top attacking target as he looks to reshape Liverpool’s frontline before the transfer deadline.

The Athletic reports that Manchester United have agreed terms with Napoli over a season-long loan deal for Rasmus Hojlund. The 22-year-old Denmark international could join permanently next summer if certain conditions are met, in a deal worth around £38m.

Brentford, meanwhile, have seen a £45m approach for Borussia Dortmund forward Maximilian Beier turned down. The German side are keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old, despite interest from the Premier League.

Sky Sports has confirmed that RB Leipzig midfielder Christoph Baumgartner, 26, is high on their list of targets. Palace have additionally submitted an £8m bid for Bournemouth winger David Brooks, though the Cherries are reluctant to part ways with the Wales international.

Roma are pushing to sign Chelsea’s promising 19-year-old winger Tyrique George, but face competition from Fulham, Crystal Palace and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

In Italy, AC Milan are stepping up their pursuit of Manchester City’s experienced defender Manuel Akanji, 30, though Palace are also circling. Chelsea’s Axel Disasi, 27, could be set for a return to Monaco on loan, with Aston Villa and Bournemouth showing interest as well.

Liverpool are also in advanced talks with Roma over a loan deal for left-back Kostas Tsimikas, 29, while Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko has emerged as a target for Marseille. However, the Ukrainian’s high wages may prove an obstacle.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, 26, remains eager for a Premier League move. Manchester City are monitoring the situation, and Sky Sports claims another unnamed English club has now entered the race.

AC Milan have rejected a loan proposal from Bournemouth for 20-year-old Spanish full-back Alex Jimenez, which included an option to buy for £17m, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
