Transfer Deadline: Nicolas Jackson, Tolu Arokodare, George, Others Make Big Moves

After weeks of speculation, Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is set to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth over £70 million, hours before the close of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old Senegalese forward will initially move on loan for £14.3m, with a mandatory £56.2m obligation to buy based on appearances. Personal terms have already been agreed for a five-year contract.
Jackson, who scored 30 goals in 81 matches for Chelsea after joining from Villarreal for £32m in 2023, had been a key player until disciplinary issues and managerial doubts pushed him toward a transfer move.
Chelsea, meanwhile, bolstered their attacking options with the signing of 20-year-old Argentine Facundo Buonanotte on a season-long loan from Brighton for £2m.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have landed Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare from Genk for £24m. The towering 6ft 6in striker has signed a four-year contract and will partner Jorgen Strand Larsen to revive Wolves’ struggling attack.
Arokodare, 24, was prolific in Belgium, scoring 21 goals last season, and his physical presence adds a new dimension to Bruno Lage’s side, who are desperate to climb out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.
Fulham are moving quickly to reinforce their attacking options. Chelsea’s 19-year-old winger Tyrique George is set to join for £22m on a potential five-year deal, while AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze is expected to complete a medical ahead of a last-minute move.
George scored three goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances last season and adds flexibility as both a winger and forward. Manager Marco Silva hopes the arrivals can lift the Cottagers, who are languishing in 18th after three games.
Bournemouth, active in both attack and defence, signed Serbian teenage defender Veljko Milosavljevic (£13m) and Spain youth international Alex Jimenez on loan from AC Milan.
The Cherries are rebuilding after a summer of major departures and are looking to maintain their Premier League momentum.
Meanwhile, Liverpool agreed a deal to sign England centre-back Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old will finalise his move after a long-term contract is signed in London, bolstering Liverpool’s shaky defensive line following three early-season defeats.
This comes on the back of a record-spending window, which has already seen the arrivals of Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, and others, taking the Reds’ outlay past £450m.
